It all began the June prior to my Junior year. I sat down one fine summer morning, ignorant and complacent,
and took a diagnostic SAT. When I saw my results, I was shocked. I got about 1900, a score 300 points below my target goal.
Of course, I comforted myself by justifying that I had not yet prepared that with a little practice, the scores would come.
I diligently went through book after book, and took one test after another. However, as June rolled into July,
and July gave way to August, my prior confidence gradually eroded. After all my efforts, I felt as if I had reached a plateau.
I was stuck in the mires of a 2100, a good score yes, but not good enough. |
| But then, my training at TTLearning began. Having spent the first half of summer learning about the SATs, I felt like a veteran. I thought I knew all there was to know and that the class would simply repeat everything I had already learned. However, to my relief, I was completely wrong. I soon realized that, while one could ¨train〃 for the SATs on his or her own, nothing could substitute for the trained feedback and coaching, critical elements that TTLearning excelled in. Although the SATs can be rough, dry, and trying, the teachers at TTLearning managed to pique my interest with enthusiasm and creativity. Most importantly, after two months at TTLearning, I came away with a 2330, a score far exceeding my original expectations. Believe it or not, the SATs is a test that can be mastered, and TTLearning definitely helped me achieve my goal. | |
