Pre-Algebra

Geared to help students prepare for their high school Pre-Algebra and Algebra courses, this survey course teaches topics in arithmetic and introduces basic topics in Algebra. Students who plan to take Pre-Algebra or Algebra will find this course a useful preparation for their high school course. Class Schedule

Geometry

Geometry is often a challenging subject for many students. ThinkTank Learning?s geometry course covers the basic topics in geometry, including lines, angles, triangles, and circles. Through the topics covered in our course, students will acquire a basic understanding of geometry. Class Schedule

Algebra II / Trigonometry

ThinkTank Learning's Algebra 2/Trig course teaches students advanced topics in Algebra and provides an introduction to trigonometry. Topics include functions, graphing, and trigonometric properties such as sine, co-sine, and tangent properties will be covered. This course is suitable for students who wish to prepare for their high school Algebra 2/Trig course and for those who would like to review these topics before advancing to Pre-Calculus or Calculus courses. Honors Pre-Calculus

This course is recommended for those students planning to take Calculus. Topics covered include trigonometric functions of ratios of lengths of sides of triangles, circular functions, graphical characteristics of trigonometric functions, solution of right triangles, radian and degree measure, trigonometric identities, laws of sines and cosines, solution of oblique triangles, reinforcement of function concept, inverse trigonometric functions and their graphs, polar coordinates and vectors and their graphs, trigonometric form of complex numbers, de Moivre's Theorem, coordinate geometry, conic sections, rational functions and their graphs, elementary functions and their inverses, introduction to linear algebra, parametric equations and their graphs, lines and planes in space, three-dimensional coordinate geometry and vectors in space. SAT Math IIC

This course is recommended for students planning to take the SAT II Math IIC. Topics include: Functions, Polynomial functions, Trigonometric functions, Relations and functions, Basic Operations, and much more. There will be a series of diagnostic tests. Class Schedule

Science Courses

Biology

This introductory course presents the basic principles in biology, including cell structure/processes, ecology, genetics, and evolution. This course is designed for students with little or no previous background in biology and is ideal for preparing students for high school biology and providing a solid foundation for those who plan to take AP biology. Chemistry

Chemistry is an essential course for all students interested in pursuing a career in any science-related field, including medicine and engineering. ThinkTank Learning's chemistry course introduces topics covered in high school chemistry courses, including stoichiometry, the periodic table, atomic structure, acid/bases, and chemical reactions. Physics Honors

This course is designed to prepare students for their high school Physics Honors course. As an honors course, the curriculum of the Physics Honors course moves at a faster pace posing a challenge to many students. This course will allow students to study the topics in advance so they won't be overwhelmed while taking their high school course. Topics covered in this course include motion, vectors, work and energy, momentum and collisions, the law of gravity, and more.Class Schedule

AP Biology

Students who are interested in biology and wish to challenge themselves are encouraged to take our AP biology course. Since high school AP courses are designed to be college-level courses, students are often overwhelmed by the amount of work and the pace of the course. This is the reason why ThinkTank Learning designed our AP biology course to help students meet the challenge. Our course will pattern that of the AP curriculum, and students will have a good sense of the topics covered high school AP biology after taking our course. Class Schedule

AP Chemistry

Like our AP biology course, AP chemistry will cover the topics dictated by the College Board AP curriculum for chemistry. Investigation of each topic will be supplemented by challenging exercises that simulate those given on the AP chemistry exam.
